02/13/2009 - 2. I went to a dessert tasting at Roka Akor in Scottsdale. Looking for some sweet talk this weekend? Find some friends, and go have this: a $50 Deluxe Dessert Platter that will serve like eight people. (Well, eight women, four men.) This monumental creation features about six little cakes, piles of berries, and 12 scoops of different homemade ice creams and sorbets, all piled in a pretty tower. (Yuzu was my favorite, and also raspberry.) We did not eat dinner, but you can, here, and you will go home very happy. Also have the berry shochu. And hire a driver.
